Deepika Padukone resigns as MAMI president, citing the ‘current slate of work’, read the actress’ statement below

Bollywood star Deepika Padukone on Monday announced her departure from the Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI). She issued a statement on social media informing fans that she will no longer continue as the President of MAMI. The ‘Padmavat’ actor posted a news on his Instagram handle and announced the news. She wrote, “It has been a deeply enriching experience being on the board of MAMI and serving as chairperson. As an artist, it was inspiring cinema and talent from all over the world to bring me to Mumbai, my second home. ” Pathan: Deepika Padukone is all set to pair up with Shah Rukh Khan for the next week of shooting for the film.

Further, Deepika gave the reason for leaving the academy and wrote, “I have realized, however, with my current slate of work, I will be unable to give undivided attention and attention to MAMI. I depart to know that MAMI is in the best hands and my bond and relationship with the academy is one that will last a lifetime. ” Deepika Padukone shared a picture of Aaradhya’s childhood on Instagram, captioned it ‘Indiranagar’s Gundi Hoon Main!’.
