EV Charge Network Network ChargePoint now supports Android Auto

ChargePoint, one of the largest EV charging networks in Europe and North America, is adding support for Android Auto to its app. The functionality means that Android phone users will be able to search, navigate and charge from their car’s infotainment screen to the ChargeGap Charge charging station, without having to pick up their phone. Support for Android Auto is in addition to CarPlay support in November last year.

According to ChargePoint, Android Auto Experience lets you view a map with filters by metrics such as nearby charging stations, probe status, availability, and cost, and start charging sessions once they arrive. The in-vehicle app can also be set up to notify the driver after a busy charging station is available. Chargepoint says that its network consists of more than one lakh charging locations.

Details about available charging spots can be seen from the screen.
