FDNY Firefighter seriously injured in Queens Blaze

The FDNY said a firefighter was seriously injured and two civilians were moderately injured during an early morning blast at a Queens home.

Officials said the fire broke out on the second floor of the building at 85th Street near 88th street in Ladevahana at around 5 am.

According to the fire department, twenty-five units, along with 106 firefighters, were controlled by the explosion until it was put under control at around 6:30 p.m.

Officials said one firefighter is listed in critical but stable condition and two civilians have suffered minor injuries.

All three went to North Shore University Hospital.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
