BALTIMORE – A terrible stretch at the plate cost Gary Sanchez his starting job.

Sanchez complained to Offshin in an interview with ESPN that he was not told why he lost his starting job in the playoffs. On Tuesday, Boone said he spoke with Sanchez about the fact that he would play less.
“I’ve talked to Gary, yes,” Boone said. “We will go day by day. Obviously, they are both very playable. It will be a day-to-day thing that I will try to communicate best. “
Communication continued on Tuesday and Bowne said the talk with Sanchez “went well.”
