Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green announced “no one cares about silly monarchies” and called DC an “S-hole” in a venting session with former President Donald Trump’s former strategist Steve Bannon.
Greene gave Oprah a complaint-filled weekend of Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle a distraction from President Biden’s legislative agenda, including a signed $ 1.9 trillion COVID-19 stimulus bill that conservatives call futile.
“The news, our conservative media has got to do better. They’re talking about the palaces here – no one cares about foolish nobles. Green needs to see the consequences of these deals,” Greene said Told Bannon on his “War Room” podcast.
Green rose to fame in January when House Democrats and 11 Republicans voted to boot from committee assignments over their previous adherence to a series of conspiracy theories such as QAnon.
Greene has reiterated his most controversial beliefs, suspecting that an aircraft attacked the Pentagon on 9/11, and the mass shootings suggested by gun control activists. He also liked a Facebook post advocating the assassination of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California).
Furious congressmen told Bannon on Thursday, “I gave up a terrible life to live here, I gave up on an American dream to get into this, which I consider as equally sacred because I’m offended, because I’m watching I am the world’s largest country burned. “
“I don’t want to be here at all,” Green told Bannon.
As a protest message, Green on Wednesday forced the House of Representatives to dismiss, forcing an hour’s vote and delaying passage of Biden’s stimulus bill.
“Our country is on fire and we’re just – it’s like that meme, you’re sitting there, and you’re like a little dog and everything is on fire,” Green told Bannon. “I never wanted to get into politics, I really have always hated politics.”
Greene countered Trump among his supporters and boasted of receiving a support phone from him shortly before he was disciplined by the Democrats.
