Trevor Lawrence vowed to retaliate for fans of the Jacksonville Jaguars’ gift, sending him to his wedding last weekend with a large donation.
“Thank you Jaguar fans .. We really appreciate wedding gifts and donations for our charity of choice! In addition to the donation, Marissa and I will also donate $ 20K to the charity in Jacksonville, ”Lawrence tweeted on Sunday. “Thanks again, we hope to be a part of your community soon.”
Lawrence, a Clemson quarterback, was projected as the No. 1 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft after the Jags married longtime girlfriend Marissa Mawrey last weekend in Bluffton, SC.
Jacksonville fans made charitable donations and purchased gifts for the couple through an online matrimonial registry. Fans united to purchase a $ 300 toaster from the registry, with the rest of Lawrence’s charity going to a charity of choice.
