back in Black.
Nearly 18 years after its release, “School of Rock” proved that it was still a rant, as social media fans praised Jack Black and slammed him for the positive message of his body.
Praise is a musical comedy slated to premiere Netflix 1st of May.
“I think this scene is more revolutionary than they even knew,” Together wrote a fan A Twitter video of a particularly impressive snippet, currently viewed 2.5 million times.
In the heart-wrenching scene, Black’s strange teacher Davy Finn convinces the stage-frightened student Tamika (Maryam Hassan) that she can be a star despite her weight.
The 51-year-old Tamika said the “Destiny’s Pick” star, who comes out of her hiccup effigy, is wanted by all. “You’ve got talent, girl. You have an incredible singing voice and I’m not just saying that. ”
He analogizes her to the same heavy-weight singer Aareth Franklin, as well as, somewhat suspiciously, to her own chunky self.
Despite being a “weight issue”, Black claimed that people “worshiped” him when he was “sexy” when he reached the stage. A recent Twitter poll also found that the “Nacho Libre” star Hollywood heartthrob was hotter than Chris Pratt.
Unaffiliated, Tamika asks “Why don’t you just go on a diet?”
“Because I like food, is it such a crime?” Black responds.
Needless to say, the moving moments resonate between the plus size posters.
“I even look at well-meaning people like” You never know someone’s story … maybe they eat because of depression, or poverty or genetics “and I’m like ???” wrote a poster of vid. “It’s also perfectly fine if they like to eat a lot? This is none of your business and is worth regardless of fat people? “
Another fat commenter wrote, “It was so f-king hard to be a teenage girl in the 2000s because it was so much about being thin, skinny, etc. – yet not even the full (and still annoying) ‘sexy thicus’ thing.” Was. And this film and visuals were amazing. “
