Joshua Orpin, the actor who plays Superboy in Titans seems to debunk rumors regarding a Lex Luthor appearance in Season 4.

With production on the fourth season of Titans underway, some fans are speculating about the future of the characters as well as the possibilities of the DC Universe established within it expanding to include certain iconic legacy characters. A recent rumor emerged, claiming that actors Bruce Campbell and Cary Elwes were being eyed to portray Lex Luthor in the new season.

Well, Joshua Orpin, whom plays Superboy in the series seems to debunk at least part of that rumor regarding Lex Luthor. On his official Instagram story, he shared a screenshot of the rumor, with the caption, “This one’s gonna age like milk.”

It’s worth noting that Joshua Orpin could potentially be debunking only part of this rumor. It’s possible that he’s only debunking the actors being eyed, or maybe he’s debunking any involvement of Lex Luthor in the upcoming fourth season of Titans.

Either way, Lex Luthor appearing in the series would make sense, given that in the comics, Superboy was initially depicted as a Kryptonian/Human binary clone from the DNA of both the iconic villain and Superman.

Here is the official synopsis for Titans season three:
