Bills’ Stephen Diggs played through an insane injury during the 2021 NFL playoffs

When the Bills traded for Stephen Diggs during the 2020 offspring, he knew he was getting a true No. 1 receiver for his offense and a long-term goal for Josh Allen. Even now, the Diggies have defied expectations.

Diggs led the NFL with 127 catches in the BFL’s near-happy offenses and 1,535 yards on the season. It was the best campaign of his career, and the success of the All-Pro first teams remained in the playoffs. In three games for Buffalo during the postseason, Diggs posted 20 catches for 311 receiving yards and two touchdowns. His performance was certainly impressive, but it was even more impressive in the result of the revelation Diggs made on Twitter on Wednesday night.

Praising his teammate Cole Beasley, who played through a broken leg in the playoffs, Diggs revealed that he dealt with a torn oblique during the postseason.

This is pure insanity from Dig, and certainly no one is going to argue about his mental fortitude. He may think that Beazley’s game through a broken leg is more difficult than he did, but both receivers played very well in the playoffs, especially considering the injuries they were dealing with.

It is unclear how much Diggs’ injury affected him on the field, or to what extent his skew broke. However, playing with a serious injury in football may not be easy.

Between stretching to high-point balls and taking big hits to the center of the body, Diggs had to play with pain. His ruthlessness during the postseason is part of the fact that Buffalo was able to score one run in the AFC Championship Game.

Digg and Beazley should both be healthy by the start of the 2021 NFL season. Between those two, second-year receiver Gabriel Davis and free-agent Signi Emanuel Sanders, Biles is one of the best receiving carriers in the NFL.

Thanks to that depth, the Bills’ good game could be one of the best in the league. And if he can stay healthy, Digg can be poised to make too much noise on the league’s leaderboard once again.
