Man takes gun possession after threatening Bronx hospital

Police said a man allegedly threatened to “shoot” at a Bronx hospital on Wednesday and was arrested.

Police sources said 18-year-old Christopher Mills of Mount Vernon is accused of threatening at Montefor Medical Center that his deceased grandmother was not allowed to leave due to the COVID-19 protocol.

Hospital staff asked Mills to leave, but he refused and got into a heated argument, police said.

According to the police, I allegedly shot at the hospital.

A hospital security guard, who is a retired member of the NYPD, called police during midday forays.

Police arrived and arrested Mills. Authorities said his car also contained a loaded pistol.

In addition to criminal possession of a weapon, Mills was charged with criminal trespass and making terroristic threats.
