Police in Killeen, Alabama say a teacher at a local high school followed her indictment for allegedly having sex with a student.
According to AL.com, Alabama High School teacher Ashton Alana McClus was arrested Wednesday by Lauderdale County authorities for her alleged sexual relationship with a student.
Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton said McLuskey has faced two felony charges of a school employee who had sexual contact with a student under 17 years old.
It was announced that she was investigating earlier this year.
McCluskey was listed on Brooks High School’s website as a 7th grade math teacher.
The teacher was previously listed on Brooks High School’s website as a 7th grade math teacher prior to her arrest for alleged sex with a student.
According to ABC Affiliate WAAY, McCluskey did not remain in custody for long on Wednesday.

He posted a $ 50,000 bond and was released from custody the same day.

Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton previously reported that a case by a school teacher accused of sex with a student was referred to the Alabama State Bureau of Investigation because of a conflict of interest.
The student involved is believed to be the family of an employee who holds a sheriff’s office.
“The student is a family member of one of our employees, so for that reason the case was referred to SBI for further investigation,” Singer said.
According to NBC Affiliate WAFFThe Superintendent of Schools has confirmed that McClinskey has been placed on leave following his indictment.
