Politicians lie. The figures may be false. But the ball? The ball does not lie.
Bryson Aiken of Seton Hall was free to enter Wednesday night’s matchup vs. Ucino this season, so, of course, he felt himself in line. In the second half of the game, Aiken went in line for two free throws, and made a bold proclamation: “I never remember it.”

Well, the lie detector determined that was a lie.

The ball taking the words of Aiken personally is as poetic as Aiken standing on the line and staring into the rim after the second missed shot. The whole sequence is just that * Kiss of the chef. *
Aken, who was 23 for 23 on free throws this season, returned to the court on Wednesday night after missing nearly a month after dealing with an ankle and knee injury. In his college career, Aiken is a very good free throw shooter, averaging 85 percent from charity strips.
It just seemed a bad night in the office for Aiken, as they would only have two free throws that he would attempt.
Aken, a redshirt senior, was transferred from Harvard to play at his home-state school in the 2020–21 season. The Pirates are now 13–12 after losing to UConn on Wednesday night by a score of 69–58.
