Chargers Schedule 2021: Dates and times for all 17 games, schedule strength, final record prediction

The Chargers expect a major rebound for the 2021 season, with first-year head coach Brandon Staley. Los Angeles under Anthony Lin is descending a disappointing 7-9 final season, but there is a lot of optimism this year following an impressive rookie campaign from quarterback Justin Herbert.

Staley brings his defensive-thinking talent from the NFC’s Ram, trying to make his immediate impression on the NFL’s other LA team. Herbert will try to build on his fine play in Year 2 with a new offensive system.

There is some discussion among the Chargers due to its coach-QB combination, which may be prolonged. They are already on the radar to return to the AFC playoffs after 2018.

Here is the complete break of the Chargers 2021 schedule, including dates, start times and analysis for all 17 games.

Los Angeles Chargers 2021 Schedule

The Chargers schedule will be announced on Wednesday May 12 at 8 pm as part of the NFL’s schedule release of the ETF. These are the teams that have to play during the 2021 NFL season.

House: Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, Las Vegas Raiders, Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots, Minnesota Vikings

AWAY: Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, Las Vegas Raiders, Cincinnati Bengals, Philadelphia Eagles, Baltimore Ravens, Washington Football Team, Houston Texans

The Chargers are one of three teams to face Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs twice as rising members of the AFC West. They also attract a stacked AFC North and a weaker but better NFC East.

As a third-place team from 2020, however, the Chargers also get transitional Patriots and Texans. With the schedule extended to 17 games, he was given an additional NFC game, also against the third-place Vikings.

Chargers schedule strength

The Chargers have the 17th-strongest or 16th-weakest schedule based on their current opponents’ combined 2020 winning percentage (.493, 133-137-2). They are dubbing Smack in the middle of the pack.

Outside the majors, they face three playoff teams from the AFC North to the Steelers, Rens and Browns. His only returning playoff team from the NFC is Washington, which won the East with a sub-500 record.

Hardest test: Kansas City certainly has the largest looms. But Los Angeles also couldn’t be happier about Cleveland, Dallas, New England and Pittsburgh – and all of their massive fan base – coming to Sophie Stadium. Having a suspect home field advantage does not help, either.

Biggest break: The Chargers balance some concerns with home opponents with a favorable road slate. Beyond the majors, the game in Baltimore is a truly challenging journey.

Ground level: Bacci and Herbert made the Chargers as a sleeper or breakout playoff team in 2021, capturing one of the three available wild-card spots behind the front-running Chiefs. The Chargers have the offensive and defensive backing talent to meet those expectations. The schedule is quite manageable for this to happen.

Record prediction: 10-7
