Christpas Porzingis, who handled the Mavericks trade rumors better than Marcup Cuba, described the rumors as better

Once trapped by the Nax, Kristaps Porzingis may be on the move again after only two years.

Poringis has been the subject of trade speculation ahead of the NBA trade deadline on March 25, despite signing a five-year, $ 158 million maximum contract with the Mavericks in 2019.

Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and coach Rick Carlisle have vehemently denied reports that the team is repeatedly looking to deal with the injured Porrellis.

As Poringis said, “This is what it is,” he said after Friday’s practice. “I don’t know what’s going on behind the curtain, and I shouldn’t be too worried about it. It can only distract me at the end of the day. I’m in this moment, living here day in and day out with my peers. I try to work together and focus on getting better as a basketball player. ”

The 25-year-old Porzingis is expected to return from a three-match absence due to lower back stiffness to face the Nets in Brooklyn on Saturday. This will be just his second game in New York since the Knicks traded in January 2019.

“I just didn’t have the best luck,” Porzingis said. “I am working towards making sure that my body is strong and durable and that I can play the bus without any thought, without worrying. Just being free and loving the game.”

Poringis averages 50.8 points in 50 percent shooting in eight matches this month, while 42.3 percent from 3-point range.

“In the end it’s a business,” Porzingis said of the business, “and I don’t know what’s going on.”

Bleacher report Recently Mavericks quietly reached out to explore Porzingis’ trade market, citing unnamed league sources.

“There has been no discussion about KP with any team,” Cuban told DallasBasketball.com, “We have not discussed him in any trade.”

He said, “Whoever quoted this person was clearly more interested in talking publicly about one of our players. And that’s not acceptable.”
