Cop stabbed in Westchester County: police

A Westchester County police officer was stabbed in the face in an unprovoked attack Thursday afternoon, cops said.

The Dobbs Ferry officer was assigned to a Con Edison crew when he was knifed by the unknown person near Keller Lane and Beacon Hill, according to ABC 7 New York.

The officer suffered serious stab wounds to the face and was taken to a nearby hospital, CBS 2 said.

A suspect is in custody, according to the report.

The Dobbs Ferry Police Department said it was an “active investigation.” It said it would be issuing a press release with additional details.
