Johar on the trailer launch event of the film opened up about infidelity and was quoted as saying, “I have heard this before, that Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna is ahead of its time. I don’t think that even today if it is released, it would not be judged, because I think we are inherently a very judgemental audience. And that’s why Gehraiyaan is so special, because it’s asking you to break that judgement stereotype. It’s asking you to actually dwell into the character’s mindset and understand where they’re coming from, and not pass a judgement.” Gehraiyaan Trailer: 7 Moments From Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday and Dhairya Karwa’s Amazon Prime Video Movie That Are Intense and Heart Touching!

The coming-of-age movie SOTY is another one produced under Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The movie where we saw three debutantes stepping in Bollywood Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan. The story where two guys fell for one girl, in a simple word it’s a love triangle which needs a permanent solution. The movie showed how relationship in high school can become a barrier between friends. At first, Rohan (Varun) and Shanaya (Alia) were dating each other and Abhimanyu (Sidharth) was one of their close friend. But, the scene gets changed when Shanaya gets to know about Rohan flirting with other girls and Abhimanyu was the one who stayed by her side the whole time. In the sequel SOTY 2

, we also saw things getting messed up between Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday.

Hasee Toh Phasee

Parineeti Chopra and Sidharth Malhotra-starrer Hasee Toh Phasee was a romantic-comedy drama helmed by Vinil Mathew. The film saw infidelity when Nikhil (Sidharth) fall for Meeta (Parineeti) while his wedding prep is going on with Karishma (Adah Sharma). Meeta, who is the younger sister of Karishma who is a messed up character itself with crazy past records. Here comes another love triangle, but things ended up on a good note as Karishma’s care and love for her sister gets a prove over here as she asks Nikhil to go and get Meeta in his life.

Kapoor & Sons

Another disarranged story, Kapoor & Sons starring Sidharth Malhotra, Fawad Khan, Alia Bhatt and Rishi Kapoor, among others. Titled to be a family drama, the infidelity arrived after a sudden kiss that Tia (Alia) gets from Rahul (Fawad), despite loving Arjun (Sidharth). The kiss occurred as a disloyal thing one can do while being committed to someone. The movie also saw two-timing when Harsh (Rajat Kapoor) invited Anu (Anuradha Chandan), the lady she had an affair with on the party of their family family. Harsh’s wife Sunita (Ratna Pathak Shah) also felt cheated after the incident.

Raazi

The spy-thriller directed by Meghna Gulzar featured Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Rajit Kapur and Jaideep Ahlawat in prominent roles. In this movie, infidelity has been portrayed on a different note or angle. Sehmat (Alia), Indian RAW agent who gets married to Iqbal (Vicky), who belongs from a Pakistan military family. Marriage is all about trust and bonding, but when Sehmat gets into a Pakistani family, she started taking advantage of them by passing on information from Pakistan to India. The disloyal and duplicity she did while staying in a family was good for our nation but toxic for their relationship. (Alia and Vicky).

Kalank

Kalank, the period romantic drama which received a lot of criticism for the storyline and how the cast has been portrayed. The flick starred Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur in key roles. The love relationship between them gets jumbled when Dev (Aditya) tells Roop (Alia) that he still loves Satya (Sonakshi).
