Giancarlo Stanton’s hot streak begins with Yankees lineup switch

Giancarlo Stanton was back in two-holes in Thursday’s lineup. Not surprisingly, given the 11-game hitting streak, when she was at Yankees Cleveland, she was moved there and she rarely outplayed him.

Aaron Boone said things were to be mixed up when Yankee Stanton and Aaron were joining the judge in the lineup, but called the two sluggers “somewhat interchangeable”.

Stanton hit two homers in the April 23 game and did not trail .500 (24-for-48) with five homers, four doubles, 10 RBIs, two walks, eight strikes and an OPS of 1.416.

When asked again before the conclusion of Thursday’s series against the Astros about the move, Boone downplayed its importance.

“He went into a two-hole and really started,” Boone said with a smile. “I see him as a really good hitter who is rolling it. If he was doing two, four, three, whatever, I think we would be in the same situation. That being said, there is no denying what he means in that two-hole and I think I will keep him there for a short time. “

And the manager insisted that there is no grand plan behind the switch, stating that “it was a bit much for that.”

“Honestly, we as a group got off to a tough start offensively for the first two weeks of the season, so it was changing a little bit,” Boone said.

Stanton continued his fast stretch at the plate with three more hits and another home run in Wednesday’s win over Houston.
