Here are the hottest TV shows slated for Spring 2021

It has been a long epidemic winter, but spring is in sight – and with it comes new TV horizons.

This year has been the property of the hotly anticipated show, from Elliott Stubler’s return to the “Law and Order” franchise lost to a new epic fantasy world.

Here’s what to look for.

“Wreck,” NBC premiered on March 1 at 10 pm

This new series in the “X-Files” mold sees two CIA and M16 agents team up to investigate the debris of an alien spacecraft, which lands on Earth, messing with the laws of physics. Co-starring Jonathan Tucker (“Justified”) and Ryan Steele (“The Magicians”).

HBO Max, “Genera + Ion” on March 11

For fans of “Euphoria”, this is another teen show that navigates friendships, dating, and sexuality with high school students – but it’s much lighter than the uber-dark “Euphoria”. For added authenticity, the series co-creator Zelda Barnz is herself a teenager (she is 19).

“Country Comfort,” Netflix, premiered on March 19

A modern “sound of music” genre story, this comedy follows an aspiring country singer (Kathryn McPhee), who works as a nanny for a shepherd (Eddie Cibrian), who has five children.

“Falcon and Winter Soldier,” Disney +, premiered on March 19

Following the success of “Vandavision”, the next small screen entry in the MCU is a six-episode adventure boy-comedy focusing on Sam Wilson (Anthony McKee) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stein). Set after the events of “Avengers: Endgame”, which saw Wilson take over as Captain America, the show sees the doubles team fighting off the anti-patriotic group “The Flag Smashers”.

“Law and Order: Organized Crime,” NBC, April 1 at 9 pm

Elliott Stubler Returns! Christopher Meloni rose to fame in the “Law and Order” franchise, and in 2011, after a decade left, he returned. The new show sees Stabler (Melonie) loss in his personal life after his return to the NYPD and a reunion with Olivia Benson (Mariska Harjeet).

“Chad,” TBS, will premiere on April 6 at 10:30 p.m.

The veteran of “Saturday Night Live” stars Naseem Pedrad and produces this new comedy where he plays the role of a 14-year-old Persian boy who is on a mission to become popular in high school.

“Big Shot,” Disney + premieres April 16

Starring John Stamos, this sports dramedy follows a temperament basketball coach (Stamos), who ends up in an elite girl’s private school after being fired from his previous job.

HBO premieres on September 18 at 10 pm

As the seven-part limited series star Kate Winslet (also an execution producer on the show), Mary Sheehan is a Pennsylvania detective investigating a local murder as her own personal life is disturbed. This is Winslet’s first comeback on TV in a decade (“Mildred Pierce” since 2011).

“Cruise Summer,” Freeform, will premiere on April 20 at 9 pm

Produced by Jessica Beal, this psychological thriller follows Kate Wallis (Olivia Holt, “The Cloak and Dagger”), a popular girl who goes missing, and Zeenat Turner (Chiara Aurelia), a naughty girl who plays Kate Allegations of involvement in the disappearance.

“Sasquatch,” Hulu will premiere on April 20

Produced by the Duplass brothers (“Wild Wild Country”), this documentary is an investigative journalist investigating the truth behind the story of an alleged Bigfoot attack.

“Shadow and Bone,” Netflix, April 23

Starring Ben Barnes (“The Punisher,” “Westworld”) and based on a Fantasy book series hits Set in an alternate version of Russia called “Raqqa” where armies use magic and monsters, the show is for fans of “The Witcher” and “Teenage Girl Saves the World” such as “The Hunger Games.”

“Mosquito Coast,” AppleTV + premieres April 30

On a basis Bestselling book, The drama series stars Justin Theroux as Eli Fox, who overthrow his family and flee to Mexico with him as he finds himself on the run from the US government.

“Marvel’s Modak,” Hulu, will premiere on May 21

This animated series aimed at adults follows MODOK (Patton Oswalt), an observer who struggles to awaken his company and his family after failing to control the world.
