Patty Mills already has a dozen NBA campaigns under his belt. The 33-year-old veteran has a Larry O’Brien Trophy, another Finals berth and an Olympic bronze medal on his resume. Despite all the familiar faces he’ll find in Brooklyn, a part of him still feels like a rookie coming into his first Nets training camp.

“[This] is a great opportunity, which is exciting for me to work out, OK,” Mills said. “How can I fit myself in to make a great impact for the team? There’s something there about really diving into what it means to be a Net, and that connection to the Brooklyn community. There’s something there.”
