James Dolan, Spike Lee return to MSG after the Knicks War

Spike Lee has finally returned to Celebrity Row at Madison Square Garden after accusations of team owner James Dolan and not doing the right thing last season.

The famed director and longtime Knicks fan stated on March 3 of last year that he would not attend any of the games for the remainder of the season after a feud with Dolan and Garden Security using the wrong entrance in a game.

The 64-year-old Oscar winner was in his customary court seat more than half an hour before the game’s tipoff against the 76ers on Sunday. An online video has surfaced of a video last March on MSG Security and Lealing stating that he was being treated like the banned former Knicks star Oakley. The following day, in an interview with ESPN, Lee stated that he was “being harassed by James Dolan and I don’t know why.”

Lee did not appear in the garden this season due to the COVID-19 epidemic. A limited number of fans – about 10 percent of capacity – have been allowed in the Knicks game since 24 February.
