Jameson Tillon has not pitched in an actual game since 2019, but his fielding intensified on Monday night after a 4–0 loss to the Phillies at the George M. Steinbrenner field. The Yankees’ starter made a pair of good plays from the mound on a bunt and a swinging bunt, firing first for both one and outs with bare hands.

Jay Bruce was unable to pick up a pair of balls at first base – one on a low line drive that hit his glove, the other on a foul throw by Geo Urshela. Aaron Judge was robbed in a single in the sixth inning, when Ronald Torris made a diving stop in the shift and threw him out first. The judge impressed the former Yankees, but was left smiling at the defensive gem.
