Jeff Dye downplays dating ‘Bachelorette’ alum Clare Crawley

It’s not that serious.

Comedian Jeff Dye shut down rumors that he and Clare Crawley are dating.

After sources said the “Girl Code” alum, 38, and the former “Bachelorette,” 40, went to a Los Angeles Lakers game together, he told Us Weekly on Thursday, “If sitting by someone at a Lakers game means I’m dating someone, I guess me and my friend Richard have been in a relationship for years.”

Dye also clarified to the magazine that three women went to the game with him earlier this month, adding that it “was hardly a date” between just him and Crawley.

However, the former “Money With Strangers” host did confirm he’s met Crawley and said she was “awesome.”

Dye, who was previously linked to “The Hills” alum Kristin Cavallari, added, “Since my breakup, I basically just do comedy, write, yoga and watch late-night short films about romance.” He did not clarify whether his romance with Cavallari, 34, was the “breakup” he was referring to.

A rep for Crawley did not return Page Six’s request for comment on Dye’s remarks.

Speculation that Crawley and stand-up comic were dating first began after a source told Us Weekly that the pair had been set up through a mutual friend.

“Clare agreed to go on the date because she thought he was handsome,” the insider added. The source also shared that the stars “met up for coffee” in addition to going to the basketball game.

However, a second source did tell the outlet at the time that Dye and Crawley were “just friends.”

An insider also noted, “They live in two different cities, so it’s nothing serious.”

Crawley is newly single after breaking off her engagement with former fiancé Dale Moss, whom she met on Season 16 of “The Bachelorette.”

In October, the California-based hairstylist said the breakup had been “hard” and “painful.”

“The one that gets me is, how do you say goodbye to somebody you never wanted to walk away from?” she said on Jana Kramer’s podcast, “Whine Down.” “Like I would have never walked … You’re having to say goodbye to somebody you don’t want to be saying goodbye to, you have to walk away from somebody you don’t want to walk away from.”

Then in November, both Crawley and Dye posted a series of photos and videos on their respective Instagrams of them hanging out and laughing together at an Alo event.

When a follower told Crawley, “You have a happy glow,” she replied, “My soul feels it, thank you ☺️?.”
