Where will Justin Fields land?
At one time, the Ohio State product was a lock for QB2 behind Trevor Lawrence in the 2021 NFL Draft. Now, Fields’ top-10 stands as a pass, seemingly, anything but certain.
Fields has gone through wrinkles during this pre-draft cycle: his work ethic has been unfairly questioned, his mechanics laid aside and his gameday processing “issues” given way, Kind of overstated.
While NFL Draft experts can’t build consensus on where Fields is going to land, it seems to be a popular spot – within the first 10 pickets – where passersby appear to be a great fit.

Daniel Jeremiah, NFL Network
- pick up the: Number 7
- Team: Detroit lions
Analysis: “It could be a trading venue, with some teams potentially choosing to be the quarterbacks in the market after Detroit, but I would not rule out the Lions and pick up the signal-caller myself. Fields is more upside than Jared Goff. “
