LaMarcus Aldridge is leaving San Antonio.
Spurs coach Gregg Popovich told reporters Wednesday that the big man would not play for the team going forward and a move was being made.

“We have mutually agreed to work for him on a few occasions and it will be elsewhere” Popovich said, per USA Today. ESPN’s Adrian Wojanowski told That Spurs are “engaged” in trade negotiations.
The 35-year-old Aldridge has missed nine of the last 12 matches, including the match against the Mavericks on Wednesday. He is averaging 13.7 points and 4.5 rebounds in 21 matches this season. He is in the final year of his contract and could become an unrestricted free agent in the summer.
He said, “We have done everything we asked. And at this point, we just want to do something that will work just as much for our club as it deserves, ”said Popovich, per USA Today.
Jakob Pottle has replaced Aldridge in the starting lineup.
