Police said a 42-year-old man was sucked into an unprovoked attack inside a Brooklyn metro station last Wednesday.
In the video of the attack given by the police, the victim is depicted face-to-face in the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center metro station by an unknown person.
It is seen in the video that the victim was talking on her cellphone when the suspect came from behind and slapped her.
The two then scramble for a while, coming down the stairs before the suspect can be seen going back upstairs and running away.
The victim has bruises on the right cheek and above the eye. Police said they were taken to Cobble Hill Hospital in stable condition.
His attacker was still at large early Friday, according to police.
