Man stabbed, slashed in attempted robbery in NYC: cops

A 27-year-old man was stabbed and slashed during an attempted robbery in Midtown early Monday, cops said.

Two men approached the victim around 2 a.m. at Park Avenue and East 42nd Street and tried to rob him, authorities said.

At some point, one of the suspects pulled out an unknown object — stabbing him in the stomach and slashing him in the right hand, police said.

The victim ran away and flagged down MTA cops near Grand Central Terminal, authorities said.

He was hospitalized in stable condition, cops said.

Nothing was taken from the victim, and the would-be robbers were still at large later in the morning.
