Miss USA contestant wants to be the first Down syndrome SI model

A Minnesota woman wants to make waves in the fashion world by becoming the first person with Down syndrome in the case of Sports Illustrated Swimming.

26-year-old Mikayla Holmgren is already a woman with the condition, competing in the Miss USA competition.

“We tell all our people who have special needs or have Down syndrome, go ahead and do it,” Holmgren said In friday episode

Holmgren recently presented her audition tape to Sports Illustrated, but she is not losing any sleep over the result, people said.

“I just wait and see,” he said sarcastically, “and fingers crossed.”
