Mouse spotted feasting on high-grade veal at NYC Whole Foods

A mouse with the munchies was caught on camera nibbling a piece of high-grade veal inside a butcher case at a Manhattan Whole Foods, according to a now-viral video and the company.

The ravenous rodent was spotted chowing down on a raw slab of osso bucco veal, priced at $22.99 a pound, at the Columbus Circle store — making shoppers squeak with dismay,  according to a TikTok video posted by a customer Monday.

“We talked to the manager. People say that’s like a Karen thing but it was disgusting,” @DefineBritt, who posted the footage, said in a YouTube video later. “I never want to set foot in this Whole Foods again.”

After the footage went viral — raking in more than 1.8 million views — a rep for Whole Foods told The Post the company is taking the incident “very seriously.”

“We immediately removed and disposed of all products in the case, performed a deep cleaning, and brought in a third party service for a thorough inspection,” the spokeswoman said. “The store diligently followed our detailed protocol in response and continues to work closely with our food safety team.”

But @DefineBritt, who was shopping with her mom at the time, said the eek-inducing moment soured her on the store.

She scurried out without buying anything and said doesn’t have plans to return.

It wasn’t immediately clear how the mouse got into the meat case. Whole Foods didn’t immediately return The Post’s request for comment Friday.
