Nothing will launch Cannes 1 wireless earbuds beginning in June

Nothing, a tech startup from former OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, will reveal its first pair of true wireless earbuds this June. The company says the earbuds will be called Year 1, but it will be smart about other specs such as their specs, price and final design. However, an illustration released with today’s blog post suggests that there appears to be a silhouette of earbuds with a long stem.

We know that earbuds are designed in collaboration with TeenEdge Engineering and feature a “stripped-down esthetic”. A concept presented since March gives more clues like the use of transparent materials in their construction. Nothing was announced in February that its first products would be wireless earbuds.

A June product reveal means the company may perform well on its January promise to release its initial product in the first half of the year. However, it is not guaranteed to be released in the same month. The company merely states that it will reveal the product and announce details about how to order them, but it will not officially confirm the shipment date.

Apart from headphones, nothing has been said that it plans to build an ecosystem of interrelated devices.
