NYPD looking for would-be bank robber

Cops are looking for help finding a man who struck out in Bensonhurst.

The unidentified would-be bandit entered a Chase Bank on Bay Parkway Friday at 2:50 p.m. and passed a note to a 27-year-old male teller demanding cash, police said.

When the teller did not immediately comply, the the unsuccessful crook got cold feet and fled empty-handed, cops said.

The suspect is believed to be between 40-50 years old.

The NYPD on Saturday released photos of the suspect sought in the attempted robbery.

Authorities are looking for a man approximately 40-50 years old, between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt, dark-colored bandanna across his face and light-colored sweatpants.
