Shakeel O’Neill massages Charles Barkley’s leg cramps on ‘Inside the NBA’

Dr. O’Neill came on “Inside the NBA” inside Charles Barclay on Thursday night.

During a business break, Barclay gets up from his chair to try to overcome a leg cramp when Shakeel O’Neill comes to the rescue. The older man crossed Barclay’s hamstring at the COVID-friendly plexiglass at Studio J for a duet “slap,” noting, “You’ll slap it.” O’Neill then tried to ease the cramps, while Barclay laughed and leaned on his chair.

Meanwhile, host Ernie Johnson delivered a hilarious moment through laughter.

“Chuck was so tense that in the game he was groping the man, look at it during a commercial break … and Dr. O’Neill to the Rescue … paging Dr. O’Neill” he said while Sheikh Begging, “Don’t do it Ernie … strike with that tape.”

Barclay said, “You’re all joking, but those cramps are no joke.”

“I’m trying to help my teammates,” O’Neill said, to which Barclay jokingly said, “Take me to dinner first!”

Johnson later questioned whether Kenny Smith, who was missing from Thursday’s broadcast, would have helped Barclay like O’Neill.

“Anyone got a packet of smoke,” Johnson joked.
