    An Announcement For Any Resident Of New York City Under SNAP

    Any resident of New York City who is under the SNAP Program will receive their last payments for the month of November. The payments are distributed based on specific schedules, with different dates for any resident of New York City under the program.

    The maximum amount of benefits that any resident of New York City under the program receives varies, with additional funds allotted for each additional resident of New York City under the program.

    The average payment per resident of New York City under the program is $196 per month. Around 14% of New York’s population, amounting to approximately 2.84 million individuals, receives SNAP benefits.

    The funds received by any resident of New York City under the program are transferred to a prepaid electronic benefits transfer card called the New York EBT card, which functions like a debit card. Any resident of New York City under the SNAP program can be used at eligible locations such as grocery stores and farmers’ markets.

    The benefit amounts have been increased by 3% due to the Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA), with the maximum coupon benefits ranging from $291 to $1,751 per month depending on the number of family members. Each state has different payment dates for SNAP benefits, ranging from November 1 to November 28.
