DeRosa championed the administration, specifically citing workplace safety.

Two of Cuomo’s three convicts, Lindsey Boylan and Charlotte Bennett, are former Governor employees.

Demosa, Cuomo’s top aide, said she was “proud of the administration’s efforts to expand safety for the workplace, maternal health, reproductive health for women in the workplace.”

“I am also proud that, in my time as Secretary, we have seen more women. Like his boss, De Rosa on Wednesday urged New Yorkers to wait for the results of an independent investigation into the allegations by State Attorney General Letitia James.

“I would just ask that everyone avoid the verdict unless the Attorney General is allowed to do his job,” she said. “Everyone is going to fully comply with it.”

Speaking some time ago, “embarrassed” Cuomo apologized for making off-color remarks in the workplace, which he had previously portrayed as “jokes”.

  • Giants bringing back Pat Fleharty as offensive consultant

Joe Judge is bringing back a popular former coach with strong ties to the Giants’ two most recent Super Bowl wins, as he is adding his staff Pat Fleharty as an offensive adviser, the Post confirmed.

The 64-year-old Fleharty was the offensive line coach for the Giants from 2004–05, the entire run of Tom Coughlin as head coach. During that time, Fleherty assembled Chris Snee, Sean O’Hara, Kareem McKenzie, Rich Seubert and David Diehl, and later added Kevin Booth and David Bais, who had quarterback Eating Manning at their feet and two Lombardi’s. Used to help secure trophies. Along the way, Fleharty increased loyalty from his players and did a good job with other members of Coughlin’s staff.

It is certainly to be expected that in his new role in 2021, Fletherty will have an offensive line in his hands. The judge recently hired Rob Sale from Louisiana-Lafayette as their new offensive line coach. Last season was a turbulent one for the Giants offensive line, as Mark Colombo was bye in Week 11, replacing Dave Deglagilmo, who was not retained after finishing the season.

Ironically, it was DeGugilmo replacing Fleherty during the Dolphins training camp in 2019, when he was fired by Head Coach Brian Flores before he ever became the sports coach for the Dolphins.

“Best news I’ve heard all day,” Seahart tweeted during the hearing of Fleherty’s return. “Love it!” Booth tweeted.

A former Giants player who excelled at Fleherty, a skill judge, will no doubt break the tape as he attempts a jump-start that ranked 31st in the NFL in 2020.

  • Terence Monahan to serve as senior city consultant after retiring

Terence Monahan to serve as senior city consultant after retiring

NYPD Chief Terence Monahan will serve as a senior adviser at City Hall when he retires as the department’s top uniformed cop, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Thursday.

Mohan, 59, will work with the mayor and new Big Apple “Recovery Caesar” Lorraine Grillo as senior advisor for recovery, safety and planning, the mayor said at a news conference.

“It is the largest city, so it is a true honor for me to serve the people of this city and help ensure its recovery,” Monahan said.

“Quitting the NYPD is probably the hardest decision I’ve ever made in my life,” Monahan said. “There are no words to really explain what it means for me to be a part of NYPD’s stored history.”

The mayor also confirmed that Detective chief Rodney Harrison will be the new head of the department, as The Post reported on Wednesday.

The Post revealed on Wednesday that Monahan, who has held the top uniformed position of the NYPD since 2018, will step down and retire.

Born in 1982, the Bronx-born chief was the 40th top cop in the 36,000-member department after joining the force and rising through the ranks.

But Mona’s department was ignited by the Black Lives Matter protests following the death of George Floyd on May 25 in Minneapolis, which sparked global demonstrations reflecting police brutality.

In January, the state’s Attorney General Letitia James filed a lawsuit in which Big Apple police violated the protesters’ civil rights and accused the NYPD of not adequately training officers to handle the unrest.

The trial cited the “mayor and police leadership” for their lack.

Sources told The Post that Monahan is expected to be grilled next week by the Civil Grievance Review Board on the police’s tactics during the protests.

However, de Blasio said during his press briefing on Thursday morning that the Chief Minister’s retirement has not been tied to the Attorney General’s lawsuit.

Harrison, who has been working with the uniformed ranks, has been with the NYPD since 1992, and has served in station warehouses in the Bronx and Brooklyn.

He also served in the department’s internal affairs bureau and became the first black chief of detectives when he was promoted to the post in December 2019.
