Ted Cruz made fun of VP Kamala Harris, saying ‘GPS messed up’

US Sen. Ted Cruz invited Republicans from New Hampshire to visit the Granite State before the southern border trip to assassinate Vice President Kamala Harris.

“GPS got confused …” Texas Republican Wrote on twitter Harris was reported to have been traveling to the northern frontier state.

“Montreal is going to invade,” Cruz said in a separate tweet.

Both Cruise and Harris have some history in Canada. Cruz, 50, was born in Calgary, where his parents lived before moving to Texas when he was a young child. Harris, 56, spent part of her youth in Montreal while her mother was working in a hospital there.

Harris’s visit to New Hampshire was the first time since 2019, when he was still a US Senator from California, running for president.

Republicans in the state were calling out the vice-president to visit the state – where Democratic Sen. Maggie Hassan is expected to face a tough race in 2022 – before she reached the southern border amid the ongoing immigration crisis.

Neither Harris nor President Biden – who appointed Harris last month – have made a trip to the border region to deal with the escalating crisis. Harris has also not held a news conference to answer questions about his new role.

The White House has emphasized that Harris is tasked with addressing the “root causes” of migration.

During a roundtable on the Northern Triangle on Thursday, Harris said the main challenge in dealing with the crisis is to “address the acute and root causes of migration from the region that people migrate to.”

The Vice President said that most expatriates who have fled the US “do not want to leave home” and listed reasons why people are illegally immigrating to the US.

“We are witnessing widespread storm damage due to extreme climate. We are in a state of drought in an area where agriculture is the most important foundation for their economy,” Harris said. “We are seeing what is happening in terms of food shortages and, in fact, the incredible food insecurity, which we used to call hunger, food insecurity.”

Harris will meet with Mexican President Andres Manuel López Obredor and other top officials next month to discuss core issues. Harris will meet with Guatemala President Alejandro Giamatei on Monday.

Harris has previously spoken with both leaders.

In addition, Harris plans to travel to the North Triassic region of Central America in June, Fox News has learned. But the exact itinerary for the Vice President was unclear. The region includes Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras.
