The Grizzlies notched an important on-court win over the Kings on Friday night, but after a game they landed in a knockout punch in an entertaining Twitter exchange with Sacramento, it could be an even bigger win.
It all started when the Kings’ Twitter account decided to weigh the barbecue scene in both cities.
Naturally, he gave himself an edge over his Tennessee counterpart.

But the Grizzlies were not going to go quietly into the night. He attacked with a full dagger against his California counterpart.
On Thursday, the Grizzlies knocked the Kings out of the Western Conference playoff race. It marked Sacramento’s 15th consecutive year with no postseus, which tied the NBA record. Thus, a 15-year reference to slow barbecue.

To his credit, the Kings attempted to respond and mitigate the loss. But even the owner of the joke could not save them.
As the Grizzlies pointed out, there is a lesson to be learned from this.

And so, it was another losing night for the Kings inside and outside the court.
But after 15 years, they can get used to it.
