On Monday night, Patrick Marlu lined the line for the opening faceoff next to Max Pacioretty as the Sharks and Golden Knights agreed to play. And then, the puck dropped. Marleau officially became the NHL’s all-time sport as he skated in game number 1,768.
The Sharks’ second overall choice from the 1997 NHL Draft was mr. Hawkeye, leaving Gordy Howe behind.
