Tim Tebow’s Jaguars jersey is already NFL Shop top-seller

Less than 24 hours after Tim Tebow signed with the Jaguars, his jerseys are flying off the shelves.

Tebow, who will sport No. 85 in Jacksonville, is a top-seller on NFL Shop. Specifically, Tebow Jaguars jerseys are the best-selling in men’s, women’s, and youth sizes.

Quarterback Trevor Lawrence’s No. 16 jersey ranks 12th on the list, far behind Tebow despite being the No. 1 overall pick

Rookie quarterback Justin Fields, selected 11th overall by the Bears in the Draft, followed with the next three top-selling jerseys. Buccaneers QB Tom Brady was next on the list, along with Eagles rookie wide receiver DeVonta Smith and new 49ers signal caller Trey Lance.

Tebow was spotted in his black and blue jersey for the first time on Thursday at the team’s facility during their offseason program. That day, Tebow was scheduled to participate in a closed voluntary workout.

On Thursday, Tebow made his reunion with Urban Meyer, who coached him to a Heisman trophy and two NCAA titles as a Florida QB, official. The devout Christian signed a one-year deal with the Jaguars as part of his NFL comeback.

Tebow is competing for a roster spot under new head coach Urban Meyer as a tight end — a position the 33-year-old has never played.

Tebow hasn’t played pro football since the 2015 NFL preseason, and his last regular-season game was in 2012 with the Jets. He spent the last five years as a baseball player, working his way through the Mets’ minor-league system before retiring ahead of the 2021 season.
