Tom Brady is not happy with the NFL’s new uniform number rules

Tom Brady knows his number.

Whether it is his seven championship rings, 581 touchdowns or the number on his back, Brady is very familiar with the number. This may explain why TB12 is not a fan of the NFL’s new number rules.

Less than 24 hours after the league announced a comfortable bracket on the number rules for position groups, Brady took to Instagram to point out his dissatisfaction with the change.

“Luck is trying to block the right people now !!” !!, Brady wrote on his Instagram Story. “Too bad it’s going to make for football”

Brady has some points: With linebackers and defensive backs allowed to score single digits and no more wear, confusion for the offensive line could be an extra step to figure out before the snap.

While defensive lineman numbers remain the same, figuring out which linebackers and DBs to block without blocking them in a finite number of brackets can make things a little harder.

Again, pointing to a player and his numbers, things shouldn’t change too much, especially for a team with the single-largest quarter in NFL history. Or any team with a half-brained lineman for that matter.

Listen, as long as 52 is still Mike, we should all fix it.
