Video shows fatal ‘smuggling’ boat wreckage from San Diego

A dramatic video pulled by the seafarers shows several people surrounded by a vast mound of debris in distress after being taken to the beach by a suspected smuggling boat off the San Diego coast.

The disastrous Sunday wreck, which killed at least three people and injured 27 others, was captured offshore by a witness and Posted on twitter.

“God, that boat blew up,” the man recording the video said.

In the video, at least three people can be seen spilling water near the wreckage, which is being largely uprooted by the surf.

“They are stuck out there,” a woman can be heard saying on the video.

A group of people, who appear to be lifeguards rescuing the rescuers, can also be seen close to the shore in the video.

Some rescuers are helping people in distress.

Fire officials said lifeguards helped evacuate people from the water after the vessel collapsed.
