Police said an 8-year-old child was shot and seriously injured in Yonkers on Thursday night.
According to police, the jawan was shot in the chest after 6 pm on Ash Street near Oak Street.
The victim was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
Police did not immediately provide more details on the shooting as they were under investigation.
