Giants Draft 2021: When does New York choose? Full list of nfl draft selections

The Cowboys were a popular Super Bowl pick prior to the 2021 NFL season, but they also could not win the beyond-absence LFC East. Part of this was due to Dak Prescott’s season-ending leg injury, but it also didn’t help that the Cowboys had the worst defense in the NFL.

Last year, the Cowboys allowed 386.4 yards per game, a lower-10 mark in the NFL, and 29.6 points per game, a lower-five in the league. The Cowboys badly need to add talent to that side of the ball and they will likely spend the majority of the 2021 NFL Draft after this offseason maintaining some offensive continuity through a long-term deal with Prescott.

Of course, the team still needs to upgrade some spots. Although the Cowboys can be a playoff team if these holes are full, they will have to hit quite a few picks to make any kind of postseason noise. They have 10 at their disposal, so they should be able to find some upgrades this offseason.

Giants need nfl draft

  • Shore rush: The Giants added Ryan Anderson and Ifedi Odenagbo in free agency, but they need a true No. 1 pass razor. They had been lacking for some time. Jaylen Phillips and Gregory Russo could play with their first-round pick.
  • Offensive line: Andrew Thomas, Matt Peart, and Nat Solder should make for a solid tanned tandem, provided that Thomas can progress after a disappointing rookie year. However, the team needs help on the internal offensive line after cutting Kevin Jeitler. He added Zach Fulton, but the team still needs one more lineman to challenge him and potentially challenge Center Gate Gates to play.
  • Linebacker: Blake Martinez played well in the middle of the field for the Giants last year and set a record of 151 tackles. If the team can find him a better complement, then the time between their defense will be extremely strong.
  • Wide receiver: Newly-signed Kenny Golladay and Darius Slayton should be a good one-two punch, but can Sterling Shepard or John Ross close the No. 3 receiver spot? Both have often been injured during their careers, so adding some extra depth and another weapon for Daniel Jones could affect the G-Men.
  • Defensive Combat: Dalvin Tomlinson moved to free agency to join the Vikings. The Giants signed Danny Shelton to help replace him, but tackling a young run-stuffing nose would not be a bad move.
