While Michele Tafoya’s “The View” appearance had nothing to do with her leaving the “Sunday Night Football” sideline at the end of the year or her recent days off, it could foretell what she wants to do next.
Tafoya has been a sportscaster for nearly the last three decades, so perhaps she wants to try something new after she does the Super Bowl on NBC in February. While her views made headlines, she did not seem as if she planned on backing down.
At 56, she may want to explore other avenues, as she has been a reporter on Super Bowls and Olympics. Which is great, but “been there, done that.”
The message of “The View” appearance is not some conspiracy about her getting in trouble for views to the right.
(For emphasis, one more time: She was on the air for three weeks after she was on “The View.” She then took a few weekends off, including Thanksgiving, and has another one scheduled in a bad weather stadium in Green Bay on Jan. 2.)
No, the takeaway is probably that Tafoya may want to do something new after being a standout on the sidelines.
