Sharelle Rosado on dating Chad Johnson after Evelyn Lozada scandal

Sharelle Rosado believes in second chances.

The “Selling Tampa” star told Page Six that she decided to date her now-fiancé, Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, despite his rocky past because “people make mistakes.”

“It wasn’t a concern,” she said of her fiancé’s previous domestic violence case with his ex-wife, Evelyn Lozada. “You never know what goes on between things – I don’t want to speak on that because I wasn’t there, but Chad is a great person.”

Rosado, 34, added, “People go through things, people make mistakes, and you learn from them. If you base things off of mistakes that people made then you’ll never make it in life. Nobody is perfect.”

In 2012, Johnson, now 43, was arrested and sentenced to 12 months probation after allegedly head-butting his then-wife after she found a receipt for condoms. Lozada, 46, filed for divorce just days later, saying the marriage was “irretrievably broken.”

Since then, the “Basketball Wives” star has said she and the former NFL pro are “cool” with each other and she has “no ill will toward him.”

Rosado, who officially started dating Johnson in 2020, said he “went through what he needed to go through to get to where he’s at today.”

“He’s a great guy overall and I respect him,” she said of her now-fiancé. “He’s a great father, a great person, a great soulmate, and I love him.”

Rosado made her reality TV debut on Netflix’s “Selling Tampa” on Wednesday, and Johnson is featured in only a few scenes of the show.

“I didn’t want people to think he was the reason why I got this show,” the broker told us of her partner’s brief appearances.

“I wanted to focus on mainly my agents, myself and my business, and it’s not about Chad right now. He has his own thing going on and he supports me from afar and the same here. I support him.”

Rosado admitted on the show — and to us — that she and Johnson first got in contact when she slid into his DMs and sent heart-eye emojis for one of his stories.

The Allure Realty broker said the former wide receiver was always her “favorite athlete” and she would always describe him as her ideal man.

“Never in a million years did I think we would be together today,” Rosado said.

The couple are now expecting their first child together. Rosado also has three other children from a previous relationship and Johnson has seven kids with six other women.

The expecting parents have been in a “long-distance relationship” between Miami, where Johnson resides full time, and Tampa, where Rosado has her realty.

“We still haven’t decided [where we are going to settle down],” the Netflix star told us. “We have my house in Tampa and are building a house in Miami. We’ll just travel back and forth — it’s only a three hour drive.”

Rosado also told us earlier this week that she signed on to do reality TV to “show women that it can be done … no matter what you’ve been through.”

“Selling Tampa” is streaming now on Netflix.
