Aaron Carter’s ex-fiancée, Melanie Martin, has claimed that he broke three of her ribs during a recent domestic dispute.
In a request for a restraining order, Martin alleges that the fractious couple got into an argument on February 21, that escalated into violence.
“We had a fight about me talking to another man while we were broken up,” the model wrote in a court document obtained by The Blast. “He punched me in the left rib and pushed me. I didn’t feel the pain until a few days later, then I left the house because he threaten to give me a restraining order.”
She attached medical records which seemingly confirm the existence of at least one broken rib.
Martin who shares a baby boy named Prince Lyric Carter with the “I Want Candy” singer, 34, says that he threw her and their baby out of his Los Angeles home.
“He tried to threaten me with a fake allegation if I didn’t leave after, and all my things were still at the house, and my baby as well. So, we were thrown out on the streets, had to stay at a friend’s and file this report after the doctor’s visit,” she wrote. Also she is asking to go and retrieve her possessions from the home, saying, “all my clothing is expensive, and need the baby items.”
The documents reveal that the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services [DCFS] is now involved with the case to ensure the infant is safe and to help decide on custody.
“DCFS is recommending to remove this child if he is in the hands of the father,” Martin claims. “I will be with the child, not the father until the court decides with to do with legalities. I think he needs to go to anger management asap.”
Martin believes that the altercation began because of medication.
“I think that during the days of our break-up, he took too many of his prescription pills and it gave him too much aggression. He probably doesn’t even remember he did so,” she wrote. “I think he needs anger management, counseling on how to control his anger. He is very jealous and needs to be more rational because he doesn’t even remember he did so I believe.”
This isn’t the first time the tempestuous couple has been in the news.
Last December the pair split and Carter alleged on Instagram that he was “trapped” inside his bedroom because Martin would “not leave my house.” Less than a week later they reunited.
And just one week after welcoming Prince in November, Carter announced on Twitter that he was breaking up with Martin because of “a very big lie” concerning his twin sister, Angel Carter.
The on-again-off-again couple first got engaged in June 2020, months before Martin was arrested for felony domestic violence and released on a $50,000 bond.
Carter did not respond for comment.
