Alex Rodriguez decreased his bid last year to buy the Mets, and his investor group has thus far been unable to turn down the NBA’s proposed offer to buy the Minnesota Timberwells.
A-Rod’s 30-day exclusive talks with window owner Mark Loree have ended without an official agreement to buy T-valves from owner Glenn Taylor, ESPN reported.
According to the report, the harmony negotiations continue, and the window may be extended.
Taylor last month announced his intention to sell the NBA team to a group led by Rodriguez and Lorre, former CEOs of Walmart US eCommerce, estimated to be worth about $ 1.5 billion. A-Rod and Lore were expected to start as limited partners for two years before the franchise and WNBA took full control of the Minnesota Lynx during the 2023-24 NBA season.
Rodriguez and former fiancée Jennifer Lopez attempted to buy the Mets in 2020, but their bid to hedge fund manager Steve Cohen dropped out of the $ 2.4 billion sale.
Taylor entered a special negotiation window last year to sell the Timberwalls to venture capitalist Daniel Strauss before the negotiations broke down.
