A Brazilian court sentenced a teenage mother and her husband to death for wetting a bed, after beating their three-year-old daughter, Ana Livia Lopes da Silva, news.com.au Report.
Between these two, Christopher Anthony Tavares Coelho, 27, and Leticia Lopes Fonseca, 19, received a 61-year sentence for the brutal and insensitive murder of Ana Livia Lopes da Silva in Pocos de Caldas in 2018.
Ana Livia Lopes da Silva’s mother was convicted because she failed to get medical help for the little girl after beating her stepfather.
Coello beat the child several times, eventually leading to his death.
The last and most violent beating killed him, as it led to a suspected seizure.

As the mother of Ana Livia Lopes da Silva, the court sentenced her to 29 years, two months and 23 days in prison.
Fonseca was convicted of murder for failing to get help for his dying daughter.
Brazilian authorities had already been warned that the couple posed a serious threat to the little girl after attending this nursery school, expressing concern that she had been abused.
