Ant Anstead isn’t afraid of letting people know how he feels about his girlfriend, Renée Zellweger.
The former “For the Love of Cars” presenter took to Instagram to show off Zellweger’s network television debut, “The Thing About Pam,” on Thursday.
“Beaming with pride (and now sleeping with one eye open!) Ren’s latest role!” Anstead captioned the trailer for the new limited series.
Zellweger plays Missourian Pam Hupp, who was sentenced to life without parole for the 2016 shooting of a mentally and physically disabled man, Louis Gumpenberger. That murder was theorized by investigators to have been engineered by Hupp in an attempt to frame the husband of her best friend, Betsy Faria, for Betsy’s 2011 stabbing murder, for which Hupp was charged in July 2021. (Got all that?)
For her transformation into Hupp, the two-time Oscar winner donned facial prosthetics — including a fake nose — and a fat suit, which drew criticism from some online
.
AntWeger met on the set of his Discovery+ show “Celebrity IOU: Joyride” in June 2021. They made things Instagram official that August with a selfie, under which Anstead referred to Zellweger as “incredibly magical”.
Things have only heated up since then. “Pam” was filmed in New Orleans, nearly 2,000 miles from Anstead’s home in Laguna Beach, Calif., but the automotive expert made frequent trips to visit Zellweger, even taking his 2-year-old son Hudson — whom he shares with Christina Haack — along.
Zellweger also met Anstead’s two oldest children — daughter Amelie, 18, and son Archie, 15, from his first marriage to Louise Herbert (now Storey) — back in December.
“The Thing About Pam” premieres Tuesday, March 8th at 10/9c.
