Antony Starr was handed down a 12-month suspended prison sentence in Spain for assaulting a man during a night out at a pub in Costa Blanca, according to a new report.

The New Zealand actor, 46, admitted to getting into a pub brawl with 21-year-old chef, Bathuel Araujo, during a “speedy trial” held in Alicante, a province located in the southeastern coast of Spain, The Daily Mail reported Thursday.

A suspended sentence, however, is when a a judge sentences a defendant to jail or prison time, but then delays imposing the actual prison sentence in order to let the defendant serve time on probation instead, according to legal experts.

Starr, who plays superhero Homelander on “The Boys,” will have to pay approximately more than $5,000 in compensation to the victim within 72 hours in order to escape jail time, per The Daily Mail.

Aruajo posted photos of himself on his Instagram Stories walking out of court with his lawyer. He also shared a screenshot of an article The Sun posted

that revealed the young chef will need stitches as a result of the attack.

According to the publication, a court official said Starr’s “state of drunkenness was taken into account as an extenuating factor” for the ruling.

“The sentence was the result of an agreement between the state prosecution service and the man who was subsequently convicted,” the official added.

The Sun also reported that Aruajo told a local newspaper that Starr “lashed out” after a friend the chef was with asked Starr’s pal to calm him down because he was “being a nuisance.”

The actor allegedly responded by telling the pal to “f–k off” and tried to push him out of the pub.

Araujo reportedly told the local Spanish outlet that Starr punched him in the jaw and near his eye. He said he responded by “pushing back.”

The Venezuelan native added, “After he punched me, I was dizzy and that’s when he hit me with the glass by the left eyebrow.”

A rep for Starr did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.

The actor has not addressed the incident on social media, and his latest Instagram post is a selfie taken in front of a dock of boats and he is holding up a peace sign.
