Artem Chigvintsev won’t continue to perform on tour with the “Dancing With the Stars” cast due to unforeseen health reasons.
“Hi DWTS family – My time on tour so far has been wonderful – unfortunately I am having to step away from tour for a while, due to some unexpected health issues,” Chigvintsev, 39, wrote in a statement posted to Instagram Thursday.
But the “DWTS” pro has every intention of returning once he gets better.
“My goal is to recover as quickly as possible so I can rejoin my cast and crew on this incredible tour,” he added.
Chigvintsev also shared how grateful he is for his fans and their support during his health struggles, ending his statement by writing, “Thank you for your patience and understanding. See you soon, Artem.”
Several of Chigvintsev’s “DWTS” castmates took to the comments section of his post to wish him a speedy recovery.
“Rest up and get better soon man ?,” Pasha Pashkov commented.
“Wishing you a fast recovery. ?,” Daniella Karagach echoed.
“Please feel better, we all miss you so much and wishing you a speedy recovery ??❤️,” Gleb Savchenko added.
“Love you Artem, feel better soon ❤️,” Sharna Burgess wrote.
“Get well soon brother ????,” Keo Motsepe commented.
Amanda Kloots, Carrie Ann Inaba, Lindsay Arnold and Alan Bersten, among others, also wished him well.
Chigvintsev didn’t clarify what his health issues were, and his rep did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment. We’ve also reached out to ABC.
