Artem Chigvintsev won’t be waltzing his way back onto the dance floor anytime soon.

Nearly two weeks after announcing his departure from the “Dancing With the Stars” tour due to “unexpected health issues,” the 39-year-old finally revealed the reason for his swift exit.

“Hi everyone, just wanted to give you a little update on my well-being,” Chigvintsev said on his Instagram Story Thursday. “So, I had another X-ray done yesterday, and it came back still positive for pneumonia, so I just got another set of antibiotics. This is of course number two.”

“Hopefully, this one will do the magic, will do the trick, to kick out the pneumonia out of my lungs. So that’s where I’m at. I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy,” he added.

Chigvintsev announced he stepping away from the “DWTS” tour on Jan. 20, but at the time, didn’t disclose any details about his health issues.

“My time on tour so far has been wonderful- unfortunately I am having to step away from tour for a while, due to some unexpected health issues,” he wrote on social media at the time. “My goal is to recover as quickly as possible so I can rejoin my cast and crew on this incredible tour. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”

Artem took to Instagram to announce his unexpected departure from the show.

At the time, DWTS fans and castmates flooded his comment section with well wishes.

“Please feel better, we all miss you so much and wishing you a speedy recovery ??❤️,” “DWTS” alum Gleb Savchenko wrote.

“Your fans have been thinking of you! Take good care ❤️,” a concerned fan added.

Even Chigvintsev’s wife, WWE star Nikki Bella, chimed in with a simple, “❤️”.

The couple have been together since 2019 and got engaged in November 2020. They share an 18-month-old, Matteo, who hilariously broke Chigvintsev’s Mirrorball trophy in 2021.
